Raven Symone opened up on how people in the entertainment industry evolve, including herself.

What Does Raven Symone Think About Freedom In America?

As the former child star co-hosted The View earlier this week, she mentioned how artists continue to grow into something different and it's something that can either please or anger someone.

"[Artists are] creative, they're innovative, you want to know what's happening, you want to grow with that artist. It's about evolution," Symone said. "I went to go see Lauryn Hill in concert, she didn't sing one song from any of her Grammy award-winning hit, my mom was pissed and I was like, 'That was genius.' Because I'm happy that I'm getting to see her as an artist evolve."

The co-host then explained that she knows exactly how that works considering that people still see her as that little girl from The Cosby Show.

"I understand what it's like, I'm never gonna say anything from The Cosby Show ever again," she said. "I'm 30-years-old."

The other hosts of the talk show noticed that Symone is still seen as a three-year-old where she pointed out how strange it is when someone notices the little things that happened back then.

"They still treat me like a three-year-old. They come up to me and ask me to sing a song from my first album that nobody bought, I'm gonna be like, 'No!' because I was three!" Symone said.
