Foster also spoke of how frustrated she was in "watching my babies struggle in silence in order to support me in my journey."

"I will walk to the end of the earth to find a cure so that you can live a healthy life that you deserve," Foster told her kids.

Foster then apologized for "all the important things I have missed in your life these past four years," adding, "I used to be a pretty cool, smart, multi-tasking, kicka** mom -- but all three of you, all three of my children really got short-changed with a dumb blonde in the white robe, that mostly lives her life in bed."

On the red carpet prior to the event, Gigi Hadid, Foster's oldest child, spoke of what has been most difficult for her.

"I'm the only one in, of my siblings, my mom and my family that hasn't been affected by Lyme disease," Gigi told Entertainment Tonight. "It's been really hard for me because I'm the only one that doesn't really understand it."
