Alex PenaVega scored the first perfect score of the season on Monday night's episode of ABC's Dancing With the Stars, cementing herself as a frontrunner.

It was Switch Up Week on Dancing With the Stars, which meant the celebs danced with different pros than they've performed with since the beginning of the season. PenaVega was assigned Derek Hough and together they performed a perfect tango. The judges gave them a 40 out of 40, the first of this season.

PenaVega's husband Carlos PenaVega came very close to receiving his own perfect score. He was partnered with Lindsay Arnold, receiving a 39 out of 40 for their Quickstep. The rivalry between the PenaVegas looks to be one to watch as the competition narrows down.

Other couples floundered a bit without their original partners. Paula Deen received positive comments from the judges but she still scored the lowest by the end of the episode. The judges gave her and Mark Ballas' Jive a 26 out of 30.

Two other celebs scored under 30 in this episode. Tamar Braxton, usually one of the top contenders week to week, scored a 29 out of 40 with new partner Louis van Amstel, while Alek Skarlatos also scored a 29 out of 40 with Emma Slater. Are either of them in danger of going home next week? Only time will tell.

As it stands now, next week will probably end in a Deen elimination, though stranger things have happened in that ballroom.

Dancing With the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
