Vin Diesel Knows How The Franchise Will End

"Would you know where the next one is set, or no?" Fallon asked.

"New York, baby!" Diesel gave a resounding confirmation.

In fact the actor also suggested that it was high time they brought the franchise to New York, revealing that the first movie was inspired by a magazine article about street car racing in NYC. Diesel had previously hinted at various instances at the possibility of the movie being plotted in New York.

While Diesel usually has the final word, previously Michelle Rodriguez had also kind of confirmed that the film would be set in New York.

When asked by E!Online where they were planning on filming Furious 8, Rodriguez said that she was hopeful that it would be New York.

"We were looking at New York, and I think the studio was open to that so keep fingers crossed!" Rodriguez says with a smile. "It'll be my first movie at home since Girl Fight!"

In a previous interview with ET Online, Rodriguez had suggested the same location for Fast and Furious 8.

She also added that there was so much potential to be tapped in the City for a movie like Fast and Furious 8. As she listed the pros of NYC, she mentioned the Hells Angels.

"New York's just like a melting pot," she said. "There is so much to discover there. Motor cycle cruise, everything from the Hell's Angels home, you've got a lot that you can play with in New York."

Fast and Furious 8 will release April 15, 2017.
