There's been a mix-up with the actress who played Emily in the movie Hocus Pocus.

In one of the most beloved Halloween movies of all time, Emily Binx is the character who was snatched by the Sanderson sisters where they sucked the life out of her and turned her brother into a cat. She didn't have much on-screen time with the exception of the opening sequence and when her spirit calls out for her brother asking what took him so long.
In Thursday's report from Cosmopolitan, the actress who played Emily was credited as Jodie-Amy Rivera, a YouTube celebrity who goes by the name Venetian Princess. But as it turns out, this is all a big mistake...Rivera didn't play Emily after all.

"I remember people saying, 'Oh, you're Emily Binx' and I'd be like, 'No, I'm not!'" Rivera said. "It was funny, but not really because I was on Facebook and I'd see these articles from like BuzzFeed and I'd see my face and it says, 'Where are they now?' but they'd got it all wrong."
So who is the actress who played Emily Binx? Her name is actually Amanda Shepherd, a former actress as a child, who now works as a real estate agent in Malibu. Rivera was able to get a hold of her and Shepherd was able to let the mix-up roll off her shoulders.
"I explained to her what happened, and she was so understanding and very kind," Rivera said. "She said, 'Don't worry about it, it was a long time ago, I really don't care.'"
