Ink Master's season four winner, Scott Marshall, was found dead on Sunday.

According to a new report, Marshall died in his sleep after falling ill the previous day.

"Scott Marshall, the winner of season 4 of Ink Master has died at 41-years-old," TMZ reported on Tuesday. "According to Marshall's wife Johanna, Scott called her from his tattoo shop near Chicago Saturday night and said he wasn't feeling well enough to make the drive home. She says Scott got a hotel nearby to crash but when he didn't answer her calls the next day, she got worried."

Then, later on Sunday, two police officers arrived to Marshall's Illinois home to inform Johanna that her husband, Scott, had passed away in his sleep.

"She says preliminary autopsy results show it was something to do with his heart," TMZ revealed.

According to the report, both the coroner and the local police were contacted, but the only information given was news of Marshall's death being under investigation.

Marshall was awareded a $100,000 prize after winning season four of Ink Master in 2014, and was later featured in Inked Magazine.

A rep for Ink Master told TMZ, "He was a great competitor and talented artist. Our deepest condolences go out to the Marshall family and friends."

Marshall hadn't been active on Twitter or Facebook since October 2. He is survived by his wife, Johanna, and their three children.
