Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have not been romantically linked since September 2013, but they still seem to be big parts of each other's lives.

The 25-year-old Australian actor opened up to Men's Fitness about his on-again, off-again romance with Cyrus that began when they filmed The Last Song together in 2009.

"You fall in love with who you fall in love with; you can never choose. I guess some people just come with a little more baggage," he told the publication about his romance with the 22-year-old.

"It really was an important part of my life and always will be. She's a free spirit. I think she'll always surprise people with what she does, but she's not a malicious person in any way. She's a young girl who wants to do what she wants to do," he further shared about his ex proving exes can move on peacefully from each other over time.

Anyway, these two haven't been together for quite some time, but Cyrus posted photos to her Instagram on Halloween in a very familiar Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles onesie that Hemsworth wore just last year for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

It seems like the two stars have remained good friends post-split seeing as how they speak about each other.
