Maybe killing off a big character wasn't such a terrible thing for Reign.

Is It Officially Over For Leith & Greer On 'Reign?'

The last episode of the royal drama had a pretty enticing moment when Francis was officially let go. And it seems that this may have improved ratings based on Tuesday's report from TV By The Numbers.

The series has garnered 0.3 in the 18-49 rating along with a 0.48 in the renew/cancel index in the past week. This has brought the show a little higher than before. In fact, it's currently at a tossup between being renewed for another season or being canceled.

Trio Of Charming Men Come To 'Reign'

So while these odds aren't high, perhaps it might be given another chance after the third season ends if ratings continue to improve.

Jane the Virgin is another show that's a tossup of being canceled or renewed while Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is bound to be booted off.

The shows that have hope of getting another season include iZombie, The Vampire Diaries and Supernatural. And it's pretty likely that fans of these next shows can rest easy since they're a "sure bet" of being renewed: The Originals, Arrow and The Flash.

At this point, nothing is guaranteed though. There probably won't even be an announcement for a lot of these shows for at least a few months, but for anyone who wants Reign to survive, keep watching and see what else will gather in the royal kingdom.

Reign airs on Fridays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
