The Olympic gold medalist swimmer took to his Instagram account on Wednesday that his fiancée, Nicole Johnson is pregnant with their first child.

The 30-year-old swimmer not only plans to reach the 2016 Olympics which will be held in Rio de Janeiro but also accepts the challenge on being a father.

"We found out 8weeks ago we were expecting...," he captioned the cute photo of the couple holding a pair of baby swim Speedos. "Today we're over 12 weeks and it looks like we're having a boy!!! #babymp #mp #lifeabouttochange #mpswim."

Not only did Phelps shared their excitement, Nicole Johnson, former Miss Califonia 2010 added on her Instagram account, “We couldn't be happier!”

Both 30, had their engagement last February of this year. According to ET, Phelps and Johnson, started dating in 2011 and have been in an on-again, off-again relationship ever since. Over Thanksgiving this past year, the two were reunited after Phelps completed his highly publicized time in rehab following his second DUI in October 2014.

Yahoo Celebrity says, in April, as the Dad-to-be announced his plan to compete in the Olympics in Rio, he told his hometown newspaper, The Baltimore Sun that the decision to marry Johnson was easy. However, he noted that the wedding wouldn't take place until after the Olympics.

"I said to a couple of my friends if I ever had a chance to get her back, that would be it," he said. "She was the one that I loved the most. I never wanted to have a what if, and I told her exactly how I felt."
