It appears Eva Mendes isn't willing to wait any longer for Ryan Gosling to propose to her.

According to OK! Magazine, the 41-year-old fashion designer and actress has given her beau of four years an ultimatum that he needs to put a ring on her finger by Christmas or she's going to walk out - she's done waiting.  

According to sources, Mendes is fed up because she doesn't know why he's been waiting so long to propose, especially since they've been talking about it for a long time.

"[They've] talked about getting married for well over two years, before she got pregnant!" the source said. "It's getting ridiculous and she's told him she's not sure about their future together if he hasn't got a ring on her finger over Christmas." 

Apparently Mendes is also fed up because she is a bit more "old school" and wants to make things even more official now that they have their daughter, Esmeralda, 1, together. 

"She doesn't like that her baby was born out of wedlock," the source added.  

However, Gosling, 35, appears to remain firm on not proposing for now, because he allegedly fears taking such a huge step. 

"He's just so terrified of marriage," the source said.
