It looks like Jim Bob Duggar has a new message for his fans, but it doesn't look like many people will listen. The former reality television star is apparently urging his fans to boycott the media, although some are calling him a hypocrite as the Duggars have long banked on their popularity in the celebrity spotlight.

According to Us Weekly on Saturday, the Duggar family leader took to his blog to talk to his fans about family values while also telling other fathers that they should set an example for their families by being "spiritual leaders" within their homes.

Duggar wrote, "Start protecting your family by removing books, magazines, television, or internet that have worldly or sensual content."

He added, "Replace them with good things like wholesome music, biographies of great Christians, good old-fashioned family fun and games."

Critics and fans alike slammed him for his advice by writing, "Well clearly this all worked out well for the Duggar family. Not. Remove sensual content? How about remove predators from the home? Let's start there," along with, "While I agree that parents need to be aware of what is in their home that might have a negative influence on their children, Jim Bob's comments beg the question: how did that work out for you?"

Another critic wrote, "Blocking children does not work. Education, knowledge, honesty, and being good hands-on parents is what guides children, soothes their curiosity, and teaches them right from wrong. Jim Bob and Michelle failed as parents."

So far, the Duggars have not responded to any of the criticism.
