The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade officially has been making its way down the streets of New York City with amazing balloons and floats, and of course, great talent-including Jordin Sparks.

Sparks helped usher in some of the fun with a performance of Right Here, Right Now as she arrived in Herald Square aboard the Girl-Powered Spinning Machine Float, sponsored by Goldieblox.

Sparks was chosen for the float because of her focus on trying to empower girls and young women through her music, and the float, a new one during this year's parade festivities does the same thing for all kids. As per Macy's, the float is meant to showcase the basic principles of engineering and and promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) education.
