A tragic scene unfolded in Colorado Springs just one day after Thanksgiving, after a shooting at a Planned Parenthood clinic left five people, including one police officer, dead.

The scene unfolded at the clinic located on Centennial Boulevard Friday, after a man now identified as 57-year-old Robert Lewis Dear barricaded himself inside the clinic and engaged in an hours long standoff with police before surrendering around 5 p.m. MT. By the time the situation ended and Dear was in custody, five people, including police officer Garrett Swasey, and injuring nine others.

Dear has reportedly been cooperating with authorities since his surrender.
