Before Zendaya became a Disney Channel star with comedies Shake It Up, which aired from 2010 to 2013, and her current project K.C. Undercover, which debuted earlier this year, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez were some of the biggest stars that the network had to offer up to the masses.

Since before parting ways with Disney, Cyrus and Lovato in particular faced a bunch of situations that weren't exactly G-rated or at most PG-13 spanning the gamut of drugs, nudity and even physical altercations.

The Disney Channel stars are always put out there as role models even if they haven't figured themselves out as people first. Zendaya is quite poised and hasn't experienced what some of her Disney Channel predecessors have, but she had plenty to say about how it isn't right to judge them while speaking with Complex.

"I think again it's that real model, role model thing. A lot of them were forced into being role models and they had to pretend to be something that they didn't feel matched up with who they were," the young star dished, explaining, "And that's because they started really, really young. So you've got to realize when you're really young you don't know who you are yet. And as soon as you figure it out, you've already been forced to become something that you didn't really know you signed up for."

She sees her predecessors as equals and doesn't fault them for their mistakes seeing as we're all guilty of committing mistakes, but of course we all handle things differently.

"So it's like, I get it. There's a lot of pressure, so I completely understand. Everyone has their different ways of learning and growing and finding out who they are, and you can't fault people for that. Again, I think with all the prior Disney stars, at least you can say they are themselves now," Zendaya stated.

The publication even asked the 19-year-old if she'll wind up behaving like Cyrus, but Zendaya doesn't think so.

"No. That's why I said, in order to avoid those problems just be yourself from the beginning and be honest with the world, because that's the only thing you can do. There will be no surprises," she revealed.
