Brown, 23, and Ocean, 25, and their entourages had a brawl over a parking space outside of a recording studio in West Hollywood on Jan. 27. The melee involved six men fighting in and out of the Westlake Studio on Santa Monica Blvd.

A source close to Brown told TMZ the drama began when Brown tried to leave the studio but his exit was blocked by one of Ocean's friends. The eyewitness said Ocean told Brown "This is my studio, this is my parking lot." When Brown went to shake his hand to make amends, one of Ocean's friends confronted Rihanna's on-and-off again boyfriend.

Ocean confirmed the incident when he tweeted early Monday that he "got jumped by chris and a couple guys. lol. i only wish (my dog) everest was there."

Shortly after, Ocean wrote on Twitter that because of the incident and his injuries he is unable to play any instruments at the Grammy awards show.

"Cut my finger now I can't play w two hands at the grammys," Ocean wrote.

Sources close to Brown said the "Turn Up the Music" singer did fight but did not initiate the brawl, though an eyewitness said he did.

Both Brown and Ocean are expected to attend the Grammys on Sunday, Feb. 10, where they are both nominated. Ocean received six Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist and Best Record for "Thinkin Bout You."

No charges have yet been filed but Ocean "is desirous of prosecution in this incident," Los Angeles County Sheriff's spokesperson Steve Whitmore told Reuters.

On Monday, the "Don't Judge Me Singer" posted on Instagram an image of a painting he created that appeared to be Jesus on a cross. He added the caption, "Painting the way I feel today. Focus on what matters."

Brown garnered criticism for what appeared to be a comparison of him to Jesus and the next day,  he deleted his Instagram account. Moments before he shut down his social media page, he thanked his fans for their love and support, and redirected them to his official websites.

Brown is currently serving a five-year probation sentence after pleading guilty to assaulting Rihanna on the eve of the Grammy awards in 2009.
