Kristen Stewart is making changes in her life when it comes to how she's seen in the spotlight.

The actress has been making headlines ever since her starring role in the Twilight movies. She was in a relationship with her co-star Robert Pattinson and earlier this year, rumor had it that she was dating her friend Alicia Cargile. But based on Monday's report from Gossip Cop, Stewart is now keeping to herself where she's signing on for films that won't have too much focus on her.

"I need to choose films based on what my gut instinct tells me," the actress told Diva. "I made a conscious decision to avoid blockbusters and choose smaller projects that might attract less attention...but are going to satisfy me artistically."

Is Kristen Stewart Keeping Herself Distracted During Filming?

Considering that being in a high-budget film can bring a lot of stress, Stewart pointed out how she needs to do things her own way now.

"When your career reaches a certain level, there are so many responsibilities that come with that and sometimes you feel that your life is not your own anymore," she said. "That's why I decided to change a lot of things about how I was working and try to be true to myself."

At this point in her life, Stewart said that she's "a lot happier" and "feeling really good."

"I feel I can be myself more," she added.
