Despite her split from husband Brian Austin Green, Megan Fox is staying focused on work and enjoying every minute of it.

On Tuesday, People shared details from Fox who will be filling in for Zooey Deschanel's character on FOX series New Girl due to maternity leave, Fox mentioned that things have actually been going well even though she's just taking the space for the leading star.

"I've had fun from day one," Fox said. "I wasn't sure how it was going to be because when you walk on to somebody else's set, a tone is already in place, and you never know how you're going to fit into that."

As for what's going to happen with Fox's character on the series, it appears she'll have an ex-romance with a female, according to co-star Hannah Simone.

"Megan's character and my character have a history," Simone said as the site added there will probably be more to it than that.

All in all though, everyone seems pretty happy to have Fox aboard. Jake Johnson, who plays Nick on the series, gushed over how nice it is to have the actress there.

"It has been a very pleasant surprise," Johnson said. "She's also ego-less in a way, that doesn't mean she's not confident, but she doesn't bring any extra stuff to a set. Without having known her personally at all that was a very welcomed thing to see, and our cast and crew have all really appreciated it."
