Camila Cabello Performed On The Madison Square Garden Stage Twice At Z100's Jingle Ball, But Why?

The 18-year-old Fifth Harmony member and the 17-year-old Canadian musician have grown closer in recent months since they wrote and recorded a killer duet called "I Know What You Did Last Summer" that is easily taking over on radio these days.

They gelled so well together in the studio and while writing the tune, and now fans have seen their chemistry unfold on stage countless times since they've been performing the song on television and live at Jingle Ball concerts across the United States.

The two talented teens have an undeniable connection, as seen in the images below from two of their recent performances.

Their friendship is even more special than being able to work well together, though, on and off stage. Cabello chatted with Teen Vogue recently and revealed just how tight they are.

"He knows what it means to be a friend," Cabello shared, explaining, "You don't meet a lot of people like him, especially in the music industry. When I'm anxious or sad or feel overwhelmed, he makes me feel better. He's not just a friend when it's easy or convenient, but he's there when it's hard, too."

She continued to dish on how lovely Mendes is, admitting, "I feel like you can tell a lot about a person by the way they make other people feel about themselves. Shawn makes his crew, his fans, his friends, and everyone he cares about feel good about themselves."

"In the music industry, there's often a lot of egos and people aren't always very supportive, but we cheer each other on and we push each other to be better. We're really there for each other. There's this quote that says 'Friendship isn't how long you've known someone, but who walked into your life, said 'I'm here for you' and proved it.' I can honestly say I consider him one of my best friends," the 5H singer concluded.
