It might be hard to believe, but it looks like not everyone out there is a die-hard fan of Angelina Jolie. The Hollywood actress has recently been slammed by an animal welfare charity for supposedly taking her children on a "cruel" elephant ride in Cambodia.

According to Xpose on Wednesday, the actress, who shares six children with Brad Pitt, took her brood on an elephant ride near the Cambodian city of Angkor Wat during a short break while filming one of her latest movies.

The Elephant Asia Rescue and Survival Foundation is now blasting the Oscar-winning actress for her decision by writing, "Seriously Angelina Jolie? Are you that uneducated about the brutal methods of taming and exploitation of elephants in tourism in Asia?''

Yet insiders say that Jolie had no idea about the elephant ride as her children's nannies were the ones who took them on the excursion, not her. The Hollywood star was allegedly sick with the stomach flu at the time.

An insider close to the actress said, "She was furious when she found out because she hates animal cruelty."

Jolie is currently filming her latest box-office offering, First They Took My Father, which is about the brutal Khmer Rouge regime.
