There's no doubt that it's been a huge year for Kate Middleton. The Duchess of Cambridge has not only given birth to her daughter, Princess Charlotte, back in May, but has also been quite busy supporting her charities and meeting individuals with mental health needs all around the U.K. And now Prince William's wife has been given a new special honor and a title to go with it, too.

According to Closer Weekly on Monday, the Duchess of Cambridge has been named the new Honorary Air Commandant of the Air Cadets, which is a title that was previously held by Prince Phillip. She will be representing an organization of 42,000 air cadets ranging from ages 12 to 19. She will also be managing 15,000 adult volunteers stationed at over 1,2000 Royal Air Force units across the United Kingdom. And who said Kate Middleton doesn't work, right?

"We are absolutely thrilled that Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge has agreed to be our patron," Air Commodore Dawn McCafferty said during a special ceremony for Kate last week.

She added, "Her links to the [Royal Air Force] family are already well-established and her desire to support youth development is well-recognized around the world."

While not working with her charities, the Duchess has her hands full with her 6-month-old daughter Princess Charlotte and her 2-year-old son Prince George with her husband Prince William at home.
