In what surely will be an exciting football matchup, Chelsea will square off against Wigan Athletic at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

Chelsea skipper Rafael Benitez is hoping that Frank Lampard can continue his strong week, serving to further take the pressure off the Blues.  The manager's side hasn't won in its last four matchups and desperately need to obtain 3 points in order to sustain its spot in third place and raise their confidence.

Chelsea's loss at the hands of New Castle last weekend allowed the fourth-place Tottenham to get within one point of the Blues with the fifth-place Everton another three points behind.

The respective run had been detrimental for the squad, who exited the League Cup, were minimized in the FA Cup by Brentford, and blew winning spots in the league meetings with New Castle as well as Reading.

Anything short of a victory over the struggling Wigan Athletic side will more than likely put Benitez's status in question.
