The monsters of the world can rest safely in their beds - the cast of Supernatural is off for the holidays.

'Supernatural' Season 11: Series Creator Has An Opinion On Fanfiction, Eric Kripke Speaks Out

The series wrapped up shooting on Friday, and won't recommence until after the new year. Taking a break from their demanding schedules, Jared Padalecki (Sam), Jensen Ackles (Dean), and Misha Collins (Castiel) left Vancouver to spend the Christmas vacation with their families.

For Padalecki, the time off came at a particularly fortuitous time. Not only will the actor get to spend the holidays with his wife and sons, but he also had the chance to celebrate his youngest son's second birthday.
