One of the cast members of The Real Housewives of Dallas reportedly went to extreme lengths to ensure she was chosen for her upcoming role.

According to a new report, 48-year-old LeAnne Locken will stop at nothing to gain fame.

“She’s one of those people who just has to be in front of a camera,” a source close to Locken told Radar Online on Friday. “She tries to show up on the scene everywhere and she does a good job of it. She’s always been looking to get her 15 minutes of fame.”

As casting was underway on the upcoming series, claimed the source, Locken enlisted the help of her friend, Courtney Kerr, who starred in Courtney Loves Dallas and Most Eligible Texas, to convince Andy Cohen to hire her.

“She is such a wannabe,” the insider jabbed. “She’s tried modeling, acting, anything to get in front of the camera!”

Prior to The Real Housewives of Dallas, Locken appeared on TV Land’s She’s Got The Look and made a number of guest appearances in movies, including Miss Congeniality. Meanwhile, Locken's boyfriend, Rich Emberlin, has also starred on reality television, appearing on Dallas SWAT and The First 48.

In recent weeks, Locken has been spotted with other cast members of the show, including Cary Deuber, Tiffany Hendra, Cynthia Smoot and Stephanie Hollman.

“Since they started filming, this certain group of girls who were not hanging out together suddenly started showing up at every single event together dressed to the nines,” the source revealed.
