It's been well over a decade now, but it looks like the public just can't stop comparing Brad Pitt's ex-wife, Jennifer Aniston, to his current wife, Angelina Jolie. In fact, a new report says Aniston is looking to battle Jolie once again--but this time as a director.

According to OK! Magazine on Wednesday, Aniston is desperately looking for a project that will finally give her the accolades she needs and thinks she deserves. Sources close to the Hollywood star say that needs a big hit just so she can prove to the world that she is a better director than Oscar-winning Jolie. And apparently, nothing is going to get in her way.

"She's let her management team know that this is very much her priority, so it's all about finding the right project," a source told the site.

What's more, Aniston supposedly wants to avoid the "misery movie" route that Jolie has taken on in the last few years, which include her films Unbroken and By The Sea. Both have failed to make big impressions at the box office.

"Jen still wants a plot that has substance and staying power," the insider revealed. "Not some one-off that will be released then quickly forgotten."

What's more, Aniston is apparently "burying herself in books" and "trying to find a story she can adapt to as a director."

So far, a rep for Aniston has not made any comments about the report. The actress and Pitt filed for divorce back in 2005, which is the same year that he went public with his current wife, Jolie. The couple tied the knot in August of last year.
