It looks like Kate Middleton and Prince William are not only having a hard time making their marriage work now that they are parents to two small children at home, but apparently they are also feuding over their public images, as well. Apparently, there's a new rumor that says the young Prince is none too happy over the fact that his wife is much more popular than he is and that his ego is getting the best of him.

According to the Daily Mail on Wednesday, Buckingham Palace is worried that "glamorous" Kate is "eclipsing" her husband, and they are not happy about it.

One source said, "The more glamorous, the more confident, the more photogenic his wife is, the more uninteresting and colorless - in some eyes, at least - William becomes in comparison."

The insider added, "Ironically, it is middle-class Kate who looks as if she's been touched by royal stardust - and it's blue-blooded William who resembles a run-of-the-mill Sloane Ranger. Indeed, looking at recent appearances, it is William who seems to be the man who accompanies the increasingly regal Kate, rather than the other way round."

What's more, Prince William is worried that his public image makes him look like a "cold fish" and that the more regal Kate looks, the more he is left in the shadow.

The tipster explained, "It's not simply the case that an average-looking, balding man will always be in the shadow of a wife as beautiful as Kate. One only has to look at his younger brother Harry - engaging, effervescent, instinctively charismatic and cheerful - to see that the issue with William is one of temperament. Like his father once was, he is in danger of being viewed as something of a cold fish."

So far, a rep for the British royal family has not made any comments about the report.
