The original music show phenomenon, American Idol returns for its 15th and last season this January 2016. This will bring generations together to cheer and vote for their favorite contestants and crown America's next singing sensation one last time.  

Way back in October 2015, pictures of Kanye West auditioning for American Idol came out. The video is now available and it's more fun to see him auditioning for the original music show, American Idol.
Kanye, surprised the judges and asked him a few introductory questions just like the other contestants. 

"So, tell us your name, where you're from," country singer and judge Keith Urban asks West.  "My name is Kanye. I'm from the South Side of Chicago," West says in the footage from his tryout. "What do you do their Kanye?" Keith's  follow up question. "I'm originally a producer. I always wanted to rap and no one really believed in me," he continued. "Well good luck with all of that," Lopez joked before West began performing.

While his pregnant wife, Kim Kardashian patiently waits outside, the rapper  breaks out into an acappella version of his hit song "Gold Digger," which includes "American Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez by name.
