The "If U Seek Amy" singer is nowhere to be found at the People’s Choice Awards night, Wednesday inside the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, Entertainment Tonight tells the story.

According to ET, the 34-year-old pop star won the PCA for Favorite Social Media Celebrity, however, many of her fans and other supporters were wondering why she wasn’t there to accept the honor.

Meanwhile, following the show, she then reveals on her social media account explaining her absence.

"I wish I could have been at the People's Choice Awards tonight but I started to feel sick," she shared in a note written on her iPhone. "Thank you so much for voting for me for Favorite Social Media Celebrity! This is dedicated to my fans, the Britney Army – without you this would not be possible."

"I love that I can share my world with you and that you are so supportive of me," the post continued. "Remember to be kind online and spread love. #ThankYou!"

After having named as PCA’s Favorite Social Media Celebrity, it’s no surprise why Spears got home the award. If you have been following her social media posts, her frequent photos and videos are wonderfully bizarre.

ET revealed last month that the “Piece of Me” singer flaunted her abs and called out her haters in a selfie which featured Spears in a cropped top that read "Mean People Suck."
