Reigning Miss Delaware Teen USA Melissa King relinquished her crown following accusations that she was involved in an online pornographic video.

"The Miss Delaware Teen USA pageant has received a resignation letter from Miss King's attorney," pageant spokeswoman Dara Busch said via email, according to Delaware Online.

In an interview over the phone with The News Journal on Monday, King acknowledged the video and denied ever appearing in it. She said, "Absolutely not. It is not."

Prior to her resignation, the teen also added that comments made on an X-rated website claiming she's the star of the recorded sex romp shouldn't be believed.

"There are comments saying this, however, it's not comments that are true," King said.

In a piece of footage taken from the alleged sex tape, a woman looking strikingly similar to the pageant winner said she just turned 18 years old "about three months ago - March." She also stated, "I like being on top."

The website pointed out that the Bethany Beach resident's birthday is indeed in March. The woman in the clip also said that she's done beauty pageant work. The woman in the video said that she decided to make a porno because, "I thought it'd be fun and it sounded like I needed the money. So I just decided to do it."

The Miss Teen USA pageant is a part of the Miss Universe organization, which is owned by Donald Trump and the NBC network.

The respective organization is no stranger to sex tape scandals. Miss California USA 2009, Carrie Prejean, stated that her X-rated tape was "the worst mistake of my life."

Anya Ayoung-Chee, Miss Trinidad and Tobago 2008 and Season 9 Project Runway winner, was also accused of being involved in a threesome sex video. However, her boyfriend at the time denied she was the woman in the graphic video taken from his laptop.
