Scheana Marie and her husband, Mike Shay, caught the attention of fans on Monday night, when Shay was seen getting drunk and fighting with his wife on Vanderpump Rules.

Because Shay's addiction issues were spotlighted on the show weeks ago, many fans wondered why Shay was drinking at all, and also, why Scheana was supporting it. However, according to Scheana, her and Shay's life is much different now than it was last summer, when the series was shot.

Then, after a fan suggested Scheana offer more support to her husband, who appeared to be struggling with his addiction when the episode was shot last July in Hawaii, she offered the following response:

In November, Scheana spoke more about Shay's addiction struggles during a blog entry.

"I don't want to tell him what he can and can't do," Scheana said of her husband at the time. "Shay had a problem with pills. He addressed that and has been clean of them for almost a year now. There was a time in the summer when I worried he may relapse, but it didn't happen!"
