'RuPaul' Winner Dishes On People Watching The Race

In a video that introduces Turner as a contestant on the series released on Wednesday, the drag queen dishes on what she'll bring to the series. After getting her stage name from the book Atonement, she explained why she was willing to audition for the competition.

"I was ready to move upward," she said. "I was kind of the big fish in a small town and I was ready to keep going."

Chatter On 'RuPaul' Season 8 Queens Announcement

With a drag style that's inspired by classic cinema, she mentioned some outfits she likes to wear, which may be seen on the show.

"I like to recreate old Hollywood costumes," Turner said. "So I have a My Fair Lady and I have Glinda from The Wizard of Oz and I have a Cleopatra that is about to debut."

The queen added that she has supporters back at home who will be rooting for her- but one can't have all the glamour without having a little dirt.

"There's always one, you know," she said. "You can be the juiciest, ripest peach and there's one b-tch in the corner that's like, 'I don't like peaches.'"
