Mare Winningham often shined in her brief moments on FX's American Horror Story: Hotel, but should she return for another season this fall?

Does Chloe Sevigny Want To Come Back To 'American Horror Story'?

Winningham played Miss Hazel Evers in AHS: Hotel, the maid at the Hotel Cortez who was eternally devoted to James Patrick March (Evan Peters). Her out-of-date sensibility and sunny optimism made her an unexpected source of levity amid all the darkness this season.

You may not remember, but Winningham appeared in the previous two seasons of American Horror Story as well. In Coven, the actress played Alicia Spencer, the white trash mother of Kyle (Peters) who developed an incestuous relationship with him. However, she would meet an unfortunate fate.

Then in Freak Show Winningham played Rita Gayheart, the sister of Pepper (Naomi Grossman). Rita took in Pepper and proceeded to treat her as the house slave, attending to her and her deformed child. Rita and her husband eventually wanted to rid themselves of both Pepper and their baby by framing Pepper for the murder of their child. Pepper was then sent to the Briarcliff asylum that was the center of AHS: Asylum.

As a character actress, Winningham has the capacity to disappear into her roles, with none exactly like the other.
