Doctor Who is bringing aboard some brand new talent for season 10.
From the 2016 Christmas special through the following 13 episodes, Who will inject new life into the series as it adds two new writers to the ranks. Steven Moffat is keeping their identities a secret, but there's a very good chance you will recognize their names.
"We've had meetings today with two writers who've never written Doctor Who before," Moffat told Digital Spy in December. "If I told you their names, your brain would explode ... [they are] brilliant, prominent and amazing writers."
Several previous writers are also clamoring to take a crack at the showruner's last season. From Peter Harness to Mark Gatiss to Neil Gaiman, the men behind some of your favorite episodes might be on hand for 2017. Gatiss, for his part, may even write a sequel to one of his previous tales.
"Steven's asked me if I'll write a sequel [to 'Sleep No More'] - I'll see if I can do that," the writer told Digital Spy. "If I can think of one, I would certainly like to do it, because I think the idea is good and the monsters are great."
