Bobbi Kristina Brown Update: Whitney Houston's Death Still A Mystery 4 Years Later [VIDEO]

As authorities still try to figure out what led to Bobbi Kristina Brown’s death, Thursday marks the four year anniversary of the passing of her mother, iconic singer Whitney Houston, who died after very similar circumstances.

Both women were discovered unresponsive in a bathtub and eventually passed away. Houston was in Beverly Hills during the Grammy Awards festivities back in 2012 when she was found. No foul play was determined in the autopsy report and the case was closed about two months later.

The Los Angeles Coroner’s Office said in a report that Houston’s cause of death was an accidental drowning. It added that heart disease and cocaine also played factors. There was “a small spoon with a white crystal-like substance” in the Beverly Hills hotel Houston was found in; there was also marijuana in Houston’s system.

“Based on the findings of our investigation and our review of the Coroner’s Report we have determined that this is not a criminal matter. The BHPD investigation has been officially closed. Our condolences go out to her family, friends and fans who mourn her untimely passing.”

Still, Houston’s former sister-in-law Leolah Brown has been suggesting otherwise ever since. She upped her efforts to prove that foul play was involved after Bobbi Kristina was found unconscious in her bathtub of her Roswell, Ga. home on Jan. 31, 2015. She died six months later.

Among several Facebook posts that point the finger at Pat Houston and Nick Gordon, she also spoke with Inside Edition back in September and explained why she thinks both ladies were murdered.

But she’s not alone. A former Secret Service Agent also spoke out just this week and said the links between the mother and daughter’s incidents are more than just a mere coincidence.

“Whitney Houston ends up dead in a bathtub, covered with bruises under hinky circumstances. Three years later, (Bobbi Kristina) dies in a bathtub, also covered with bruises, under hinky circumstances. This smacks of a double cover-up!”
