The petition to renew Finding Carter is still active and speeding up signatures.

'Finding Carter' Actor Is 'Sad' About Cancellation

After it was announced that the MTV series would not be back for a third season, a petition was made where a number of viewers started signing away. Earlier this week, there were about 3,000 signatures, but as of Thursday, there are more than 4,000.

While it's good news that fans won't give up on trying to bring the show back with new episodes, this doesn't exactly guarantee anything. It's helpful, but only time will tell if a legit future will be made for the series.

More Chatter On The 'Finding Carter' Petition

One of the most shocking moments in the second season involved Max going to jail for the murder of Jared. Alex Saxon (Max) opened up to TV Insider about how this story really had something going on.

"I think there's a lot to be explored about what would happen if Max went to jail and went where his dad has spent much of Max's life; how he would regress and how he would change," the actor said. "I'd like to think part of why Max is so empathetic to everybody around him and conscious of taking care of people and not hurting anybody is because he knows the evil, the darkness, that's out there."

Saxon then mentioned how this would affect Taylor.

"She obviously doesn't want him to go to jail and have his life shattered anymore," he said. "She's also relatively rational and knows right from wrong, I think. There's probably a part of her that knows that was the right thing to do. I don't think she's so selfish to think that she just needs to keep Max out."
