As Valentine’s Day is upon us, most of us has big plans for the people we love. As for Rory Feek, the country crooner reveals his heartbreaking plans for Valentine’s Day with his terminally ill wife, Joey Feek.

The 50-year-old singer found a special way to share their love story. After years of battling cancer, Joey Feek has stayed strong. She’s done what was thought to be impossible.

But for this extra special day, Rory Feek wants his wife to know how special their love has been, and he has the sweetest thing planned to show her how life-changing their relationship has been to him.

“What I really want to do on this, our 14th Valentines together, is share a romantic candle-lit dinner with my bride: grill out rib-eyes on the campfire back home, pour two glasses of red wine and sit across from her at our kitchen table – just like we’ve done on more than one special occasion. But those things aren’t able to happen this year,” he noted.

Moreover, Valentine’s Day has become a very important moment in the lives of the duo, Joey + Rory. Rory is also working hard to make this an amazing Valentine's Day for his wife, without the wine and the grill and the farmhouse.

According to Hollywood Life, the 40-year-old singer’s condition, where she has only days to live, has caused him to change their plans.

“So my hope this year instead is to hold her hand and take her on a ‘virtual’ walk down memory lane together…with pictures and videos on my laptop,” he continued. “I want to take her back to where our lives first began together, and relive this beautiful journey that God has taken us on…from that first song she heard me sing at the Bluebird cafe, to the last one we sang together as we stood on stage and took our final bow… to the songs that she will leave behind here on earth and the ones she will soon sing for eternity to our sweet Lord in that heavenly choir up yonder.”

“A trip down memory lane together…That, and I’m hoping for a few soft kisses. The passion for each other that Joey and I once had has been replaced by the sweetest, gentlest kisses. I live for those kisses. They are enough,” he poignantly ends the open letter.
