Wedding is one of the most important moments in a couple’s life. It is also a ceremony where two people are united. Some weddings differ in every country, culture and its tradition but often times this momentous occasion become less than what is right.

A video was released that powerfully and painfully explains, tens of thousands of underage girls are forced into marriage every day.

In celebration of the UN’s International Day of the Girl Child, according to its website, Plan Norway invited all to Norway’s first official child wedding, and no one went home unmoved. Hundreds gathered both inside the church and outside, to demonstrate against the wedding — where a 12-year-old girl named Thea was to marry a 37-year-old man named Geir.

The shocking part was when the young girl did something that stunned everyone.
