'Awkward' Season 5 Trailer: What Happened To Matty & Jenna When They Went To College? [VIDEO]
They've all gone their separate ways for a year, but the return to Palos Hills is going to be an eye-opener for the gang on season 5B of Awkward.
What's In Store For Matty & Jenna's Future?
After a year at different colleges across the country, Jenna (Ashley Rickards), Tamara (Jillian Rose Reed), Sadie (Molly Tarlov), Matty (Beau Mirchoff) and Jake (Brett Davern) are all back--and everything has changed, especially Matty and Jenna's relationship, which was in a good place before they parted ways one year before.
Among the things that could have changed between them? The trailer doesn't give away much, but there are brief clips that show Jenna almost kissing a girl, reuniting with ex-boyfriend Luke (Evan Williams) at her internship, and Matty holding an unidentified baby (who could be either his kid with another woman--or Jenna's new baby brother or sister).
One thing is for sure: everyone is curious about what caused the two to part ways.
"What did happen with Matty?" Tamara asks Jenna in the season 5B trailer. "I'm dying to know, everyone is dying to know."
And regardless of what happened with him, Jenna seems to have only one focus in mind: giving herself the best possible future, even if it means leaving the people from her past behind.
Also seeming to change is Tamara, who for once, seems to be friendly with Sadie, who gives her advice on how to move on with her own life.
"Forget about that life and those losers, and start living this one," Sadie says.
Awkward season 5B premieres March 15 at 10 p.m. on MTV.
