They left Palos Hills behind but the Awkward gang will officially be back for a post freshman year of college reunion in March.

What's In Store For Matty & Jenna's Romance?

New episodes--the final ones of the series--will air on MTV in March (per TV Series Finale) and will catch up with Jenna (Ashley Rickards), Matty (Beau Mirchoff), Jake (Brett Davern), Tamara (Jillian Rose Reed), Sadie (Molly Tarlov) and Lissa (Greer Grammer) after they all return to Palos Hills following their first year of college for summer break.

"...She [Jenna] returns with a new-found confidence as she starts an exciting summer fellowship at an Internet startup," a press release for the new episodes says. "As she reconnects with her high school friends, it's clear that there has been a lot she has missed. It's a summer of friends, self-discovery, romance and mystery that will forever impact everyone's lives."

Did Everyone Have A Happy Ending After Graduation?

Though there's no hint about what exactly happened to Matty and Jenna after they parted ways, a Tumblr page for the show does seem to be dropping big hints about what happened to the other characters on the show during their time away, with a "Time Gap Scrapbook" showcasing some of what they did.

Among the characters whose activities have already been chronicled are Sadie, Lissa, and Jake, who all appeared to be pretty busy during their time away from their friends. One post shows that Sadie has not lost her acidic tongue and way with words to describe other people (as evidenced by her ratings of some of her professors on a website), while another shares that Lissa pledged a sorority. Meanwhile, it appears Jake has been keeping busy as well during his gap year and has still been writing music in between working his two jobs--and may have found his calling as a result.

Awkward season 5 resumes on Monday, March 15 at 10 p.m. on MTV.
