Teresa Giudice of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey moved forward with her book release party in light of the tragic passing of Mob Wives star Angela “Big Ang” Raiola last week.

Still, she had a good turnout despite Big Ang’s co-stars opting out of attending the event at New York City’s 49 Grove, Radar Online reported recently.

One insider told the site that Giudice “was aware that Ang’s health was rapidly declining. She completely understood and respected the cast’s decision to not come to the party. Teresa adored Ang and just feels deeply sad for her family.”

Still, fans will get to see Giudice’s event play out on national television, as the Bravo cameras were present taping for the show.

“Teresa made a heartfelt speech about the tremendous amount of support she got while behind bars, and since the release of the book. Joe stood beaming by her side and couldn’t have been prouder of her. No one is talking about Joe’s upcoming prison surrender on March 23.”

While the Mob Wives decided not to attend, Giudice’s co-stars were there.

Big Ang showed just how close she and Giudice were when she loyally stood by her during Giudice’s legal woes. She maintained that Giudice was “innocent” of the fraud charges pinned against her, despite Giudice and her husband, Joe Giudice, pleading guilty to the serious charges.

Teresa’s book, Turning The Tables: From Housewife to Inmate & Back Again has already become a success and made the New York Times bestseller list.
