Rick Moranis Explains Why He Won't Be In Ghostbusters Reboot

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Michelle K. Williams let slip this bit of information while talking about her experience working on the series.

"I'm not going to lie, working with Melissa, and Kristen, and Kate, was really dope. But I got to work with Slimer, dude. Like Slimer!!! I'm in a scene with Slimer! I'm a huge Ghostbusters fan and it was a dream come true," she said.

Chris Hemsworth's Character Has A Dark Side In Ghostbusters?

In other recent news of the ghastly characters from the series, the main villain of the Ghostbusters reboot was revealed at the recently held New York Toy Fair.

A toy enthusiast at the fair revealed pics of the ghoul in toy form at the Ghostbusters display via Instagram. The fiend, who is a white--rather plump--wraith, wearing a red bowtie, with razor-edge teeth, will apparently be causing all the menace in New York City in the new movie.

In other news, the first official trailer for the Ghostbusters reboot is nigh, as revealed by a recently released teaser.

The official trailer is due out on March 3. The clip doesn't reveal any characters but just shows New York City in the throes of mayhem, with cop cars swerving through the streets and military forces taking over the streets to confront a great threat.

The clip runs with the epic tag-line "Who you gonna call?"

The movie is being directed by Paul Feig and stars Kristen Wiig as Erin Gilbert, Melissa McCarthy as Abby Yates, Kate McKinnon as Jillian Holtzmann, Leslie Jones as Patty Tolan, and Andy Garcia as the Mayor of New York. Tipping a hat to the legacy of the franchise, it will also feature cameos by Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, Ernie Hudson and Annie Potts.

Ghostbusters will open in theaters on July 15.
