Dancing With The Stars 2013: Kellie Pickler Rehearsal With Derek Hough [VIDEO]

American Idol finalist Kellie Pickler might also prove herself as a finalist on Dancing With the Stars.

The country artist from New Orleans is rocking a pixie haircut and seemed to have impressed her partner Derek Hough during a clip of their rehearsals.

In the clip, he is heard repeatedly saying "nice" and "beautiful" after she completes the steps he teaches her. But not after first commenting on her thick southern accent when she said the dance floor was slippery with her socks on.

"Are you ready to win?" Pickler asked Hough when she first found out they were partners. He responded with "Are you ready to get down?"

Pickler, 26, shaved her head in September 2012 to support her friend, Summer Holt Miller, who was diagnosed with breast cancer. She buzzed her hair off on the set of Good Morning America.

Her friend Miller underwent a double mastectomy and said, ""If this compels even one person to change their mentality toward waiting until the age of 40 for their mammogram, then it will be worth it," according to E!.

Dancing With the Stars premieres on March 18 on ABC.
