It looks like Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar can't even publicly send what's normally a private letter to their son in rehab anymore without their critics bashing them from every angle.
The reality television stars are once again being criticized for being "needy, narcissistic and vile" after they wrote an emotional birthday message to their son Josh Duggar, who is currently in rehab for his sex and porn addictions. The former reality star had a summer he most definitely would like to forget last year after reports indicated that he sexually molested his sisters when he was a teenager and that she had cheated on his wife Anna with an Ashley Madison account.
According to Us Weekly on Friday, Michelle and Him Bob sent a message of "love" to their son, who spent his birthday hundreds of miles away from his family.
"Today is our son Josh's birthday. The heartache of the past year cannot surpass the joy 28 years ago on this day when we first became parents!" an emotional Michelle and Jim Bob wrote on their family's official Facebook page. "We love you Josh and believe your best days can be ahead of you. We continue to pray for you every day."
Yet some readers weren't impressed as the commented with, "A very emotional, very public letter. Sorry but a heartfelt letter on social media screams attention!! So fake," along with, "They did not write to Josh - they wrote to the public hoping to hang on to freak fans who support this disgusting excuse for a family. Their values are disturbing."
Right now, it's uncertain how long Josh will remain in rehab, although he's been at a faith-based facility since August of last year. Stay tuned with Enstars for all the latest updates right here.
