Season 16 of Dancing with the Stars premiered Monday on ABC at 8 p.m. and country singer Wynonna Judd took to the ballroom dance floor with her partner Tony Dovolani.

They performed the Cha Cha and scored 18 out of 30.

The professional dancer returned to the reality show competition following his season 15 win where he took home the Mirror Ball trophy with partner, and former Bachelor star Melissa Rycroft.

Judd tweeted about rehearsals with Dovolani days leading up to the show's premiere. On Sunday she posted, "I DID IT!!!! I showed up & danced the same stage that @MelissaRycroft & @TonyDovolani won on last season of DWTS!!!!!" she also tweeted that she could not wait to dance on Monday with Dovolani, whom she called "the CHAMPION OF THE WORLD."

DWTS is hosted by Tom Bergeron from America's Funniest Home Videos and Brooke Burke-Charvet, the show's season seven champion. The contestants perform choreographed dance routines that will then be judged by renowned ballroom judge Len Goodman, and dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba. Each week one team will be eliminated.

The premiere on Monday was from 8 to 10 p.m. Eastern Time. Week one will hold no elimination and instead one celebrity will be voted off the show, based on viewer's votes, during the season's first elimination episode on Tuesday, March 26.
