During the first day of trials for the alleged murder plot of singer Joss Stone, prosecutors said that Junior Bradshaw, 32, and Kevin Liverpool, 35, planned on decapitating Stone and dumping her body in a river.

Prosecutor Simon Morgan told a jury at Exeter Crown Court that handwritten notes found in the suspect's car read, "Once Jocelyn's dead ... find a river to dump her," according to the Associated Press. Another note read "decapitate."

The motive to kill Stone is still unclear, but Morgan said she may have been targeted for her money or because the men accused disliked her alleged ties with Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Stone was unaware of the murder plot until the police contacted her, according to the Daily Mail. She said in court, "Apart from someone (police) coming around to say someone is trying to kill me, it was a really nice day."

Stone also said that she never used to lock her door, but she does now.

Bradshaw and Liverpool were arrested in 2011 close to Stone's house. Morgan told the jury the men had a samurai sword, a hammer, knives, black bags and gloves.
