Even though George Clooney admits that he has no interest in getting into politics, he sure loves to be a part of it from the sidelines, at least. House speaker Paul Ryan recently told his supporters about Hollywood actors like Clooney emailing him to help support Hillary Clinton.

Apparently, Clooney wants Ryan to fork up $33,400 for a ticket to a Hillary Clinton fundraiser that his is hosting in Los Angeles next month. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like he'll be sending in his RSVP.

Ryan wrote to supporters by saying, "Hillary Clinton is riding a huge wave of support from the liberal media and celebrities in Hollywood. Just the other day, I received an email from George Clooney asking people to support Hillary."

He added, "George Clooney isn't the only celebrity to endorse Hillary - virtually all of Hollywood is falling in line behind Hillary."

Clooney and his wife Amal are getting a lot of heat for asking supporters to pay $353,400 to sit next to them at the fundraiser. Clinton's Democratic opponent Bernie Sanders has even called the amount and the fundraiser itself "obscene."

So far, Clooney himself has not made any comments about the criticism, although he's mentioned it more than once in interviews that he is a fierce supporter of Hillary Clinton and will do anything to help her win the Presidential election.
