Booth (David Boreanaz) steps up for America in an upcoming episode of Fox's Bones.

Fox has released a plot synopsis for this season's 18th episode, titled "The Secret in the Service." According to the synopsis, Booth will get involved with the Secret Service for the president following the discovery of a dead agent.

"A drunk college student discovers the dead body of a Secret Service agent just before a presidential visit to the area," the synopsis reads. "Booth is ready to hit the ground running and turns to Secret Service agent and former colleague Brandt Walker (guest star Michael Gaston) for information, but is surprised to learn the Secret Service has reservations about Booth's involvement in the case. The team uncovers some shocking evidence that heightens the seriousness of the case, causing Booth to step up for his country."

Unfortunately, it looks like Brennan (Emily Deschanel) won't be able to help him as she is out sick with the flu. Former intern Dr. Colin Fisher (guest star Joel David Moore) is back and takes the lead on the case for the Jeffersonian, "but Brennan refuses to be kept out of the loop."

Meanwhile, Hodgins (T.J. Thyne) decides to "take his life into his own hands and turns a corner after a potentially dangerous experiment."

In addition to Gaston as Brandt Walker and Moore as Dr. Colin Fisher, guest cast for this episode includes Jeff Rosick as Darrell Taggert, Nishi Munshi as Marissa Patel, Michael Galante as Travis Bozwell, Sahil Shroff as Reiki Healer, Dave Power as Neil Stockton and April Adams as Sally Cavanaugh,
