Brace yourself, Supernatural fans, The CW series is changing hands.

Actually, there's no need for bracing. In fact, there's no need for worry of any kind. Season 12 will see the showrunner mantel switch shoulders as Jeremy Carver leaves to work on Frequency, but the burden of keeping Supernatural on track will land in the laps of two very familiar faces.

Current executive producer Bob Singer and co-executive producer Andrew Dabb will take over the reins, according to TV Line. Singer, from whom Bobby earned his namesake, has been with the series since day one while Dabb joined the writing staff back in 2008. Most recently, Dabb thrilled fans with "Red Meat."

Series creator Eric Kripke joined the cast is congratulating the pair on the promotion.

"Happy for and proud of @andrewdabb. He's always been one of our finest writers, he'll steer the #SPN boat with a steady hand," Kripke tweeted. The Time creator also wished the best to Carver and two other former Supernatural staffers that are currently signed on to new projects.

Misha Collins (Castiel/Lucifer) also weighed in on the subject.

At the moment, however, fans are more concerned with seeing how Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) will fare against Amara. The Darkness is more powerful than ever, and the Winchesters have two more episodes to send her packing. It's a good thing Team Free Will has God (Rob Benedict) on their side.
