It's the biggest event of the year, but the 2016 Nurse's Ball could get off to a traumatizing and heartbreaking start on General Hospital.

Lots of drama always manages to unfold at the annual event, which is meant to be a night devoted to fun and entertaining performances as a way of raising money for AIDS/HIV research. And with a secret wedding planned to unfold at the event as well, there's sure to be something that will halt the festivities in their tracks.

However, despite the fact that some drama could unfold, excitement over the night will be at an ll-time high as everyone arrives on the red carpet and prepares to make their grand entrances.

"The General Hospital Nurse's Ball is about to begin!" An announcer says in a preview clip for the Tuesday, May 24 episode.

However, despite everything seeming to be on track for the big night to start, it won't take long for some problems to surface, especially as Lucy (Lynn Herring) prepares to pull double duty not only as the mistress of ceremonies, but also as an officiant when she announces the surprise wedding Brad (Parry Shen) and Lucas (Ryan Carnes) have planned to have during the festivities.

One thing she has been unable to stop each year is Dr. Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) crashing the performances with one of her own, and though she hopes the same won't happen this year, Lucy is prepares to deal with the likely situation.

"What's one teeny little disaster after all?" She says in the clip.

Hopefully, an Obrecht crashing or any other issues won't crop up as Brad and Lucas prepare for their I Do's, but as Brad gets ready to take his place as a groom, he could be saying the ominous words that mean disaster will strike and destroy his wedded bliss.

"Nothing can go wrong now," he says to Felix (Marc Samuel) in the clip.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
