Jessica Simpson, who is pregnant and expected to welcome her second child, a boy this summer has reportedly started the planning process for her upcoming baby shower.

Simpson's parents, Joe and Tina Simpson and sister, Ashlee Simpson, have begun planning to give the Fashion Star mentor a "glamorous" event for her second in several weeks at Los Angeles' Bel-Air Hotel.

"Her mom, Tina, and her sister, Ashlee, are throwing it for her," a source told Life & Style magazine. "About 50 people have been invited so far. Jess is super excited."

Simpson's family will get some assistance to ensure the event is flawless as they recruited celerity wedding planner Mindy Weiss who planned Jessica's first baby shower before the birth of her daughter Maxwell.

According to the insider, Jessica's second baby shower will definitely have a "kid friendly" theme so "so [Jess' daughter] Maxi and all her friends can come, too!"

This year's baby shower will likely have several celebrities in attendance. Last year, actress Jessica Alba and Odette Annable went to her event and brought a gift for Maxwell.

Simpson, 32, gave birth to daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson on May 1 with her fiance Eric Johnson. She announced her second pregnancy on Christmas Day when she posted a photo on Twitter of her daughter Maxwell Drew sitting on sand, with the words "Big Sis" scrawled in it during their family vacation in Hawaii.

Simpson accidentally revealed the sex of her second child on Jimmy Kimmel Live on March 6. When Kimmel asked her how she was feeling about being pregnant again, she explained that she has been experiencing extensive morning sickness and slipped the news.

"I just feel awful, I've been vomiting," Simpson told Kimmel. "The crazy thing is I never knew that a wiener could actually make me nauseous!...Oh shoo! I just...I guess I just told the world I was having a boy!"

"Oh, I didn't even know it was that," Kimmel replied. "I thought maybe you were having a girl with a penis."

"I can't believe I did that, that was not planned," Simpson said of the slip.
