That ending of Nashville didn't quite clear enough up, did it?

The final episode of the series aired on Wednesday night where it would seem like everyone would get the closure they needed. After all, Scarlett and Gunnar seemed to work things out while Rayna came to the rescue for her daughter. Even Luke found the one he needed in the end.

But that whole thing with Juliette? It appeared that she and Avery might get onto a more respectable level due to the hectic relationship they've been having. Perhaps, maybe they could've tried to have a relationship again.

When Juliette was about to land from her flight to see Avery and their daughter, bad news was delivered. There was a call in distress from the plane with no idea on what exactly happened.

And there's a good chance it'll stay this way unless if the series gets picked up on a different network.

As it turns out, a renewal is still part of the plan, which is the reason why the last episode aired this way. On Wednesday, Deadline got details from the show's creator Calli Khouri who still has hope that the country music drama might find a home in the future.

"Nashville fans are the absolute best, and support for the #BringBackNashville campaign has been amazing," Khouri said. "We are so grateful for our extremely loyal following. We have stories left to tell and songs left to sing."

Lionsgate Television Chairman Kevin Beggs even revealed that the studio already has an idea for what the fifth season would be like.

"We want to thank creator Callie Khouri and showrunner Dee Johnson for their inspiration and guidance through tonight's exciting season finale, and know that more of the Nashville story is waiting to be told," Beggs said.

All fans can do right now is be patient and see if the show can continue its legacy.
